Happy New Year.

Just a quick post to wish you all Happy New Year!  Also to let you know that I shall be taking the whole of January away from blogging – there are some things in my life that need my full attention.  I thought I’d let you all know, just in case you wondered if I had New Year blues and given up!  Will be returning as usual in early February.  In the mean time, I’ll leave you with this interesting quote I found from Neil Gaiman.   A great message for the start of a new year!

  1. Suzy, That Neil Gaiman quote is awesome. Really hits home. I’m going to be brave, and keep trying to get published. Let the rejections fall like snowflakes, I will at least be doing what I can to make a go of it. 🙂 Hugs, Brenda

    1. Yes it is such a good quote, mistakes are part of learning, not in most cases something to be ashamed of. Neil Gaiman has some really interesting things to say. I’m not actually a fan of his books, but I like what he has to say about writers and writing. There are some good You Tube videos of him doing interviews and speeches too, might be worth checking them out to help boost your confidence! 🙂

      1. Thanks, now that my laptop is back working again, I have a lot of catching up to do. Too bad I also have the flu. Sigh. Life has it’s own agenda for us.

    1. Time off is a good thing! I could never bring myself to do it until now, but I know lot of others who have short breaks from blogging, and I’m sure it will be beneficial. Looking forward to February! 😀

  5. Happy New Year! And what a coincidence! I wrote the very same quote on my Facebook page on NYE as a new year wish to my friends. It is a great way to consider things and as one who has made many many mistakes a comforting one too! Hope 2014 brings you mistakes a plenty as well peace, health and happiness.     1. Thank you! How bizarre is that – we must be mind reading!! 😀 It is a great way to consider things, gets rid of that new year pressure to succeed in your goals. Much better to take each new year like a baby with it’s first steps – they don’t mind if they falter, neither should we, mistakes are as much about learning as getting it right!

      Yes, many mistakes! 😀 I’ll have to think on the ‘bit of what I fancy’ it’s been cake this last month – but I’m sure there are more satisfying things than cake to fill the year!!! 😆 I sincerely hope 2014 brings some really good things your way, you deserve some of the good stuff!! 😀

    1. Thank you! Yes, I will certainly enjoy the time off. Got a lot to do, but hopefully will find some ‘me time’ to recharge some bits of me, so I’ll be ready to return in full swing – whatever that is!! 😆 It won’t be long – I’ll be chattering away in those comments again before you know it! 😀
